South Orange To Open 1st BGR Burger Joint In New Jersey

BGR the Burger Joint's first New Jersey location will be coming to South Orange this autumn, the company says.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — BGR the Burger Joint’s first New Jersey location will be coming to South Orange this autumn, the company announced last week.

Chanticleer Holdings, the owner and operator of multiple restaurant brands including BGR the Burger Joint, stated that the company has entered into a franchise agreement with SanFam LLC for the opening of a location in South Orange.

The new restaurant will be operated in The Gateways, a complex in the historic Village of South Orange which is home to Seton Hall University, and will be operated by Phil Sannitti and his sons, Paul and Michael, a company news release stated.

"We are pleased to have such experienced restauranteurs join our BGR family,” said Ed Kelley, president of franchising for BGR the Burger Joint. “Phil and his family have a lease executed and we anticipate the opening to take place in the early fall. In addition to bringing BGR to the residents of South Orange, we're looking forward to introducing this innovative burger concept to Seton Hall students."

"We are very excited to open our South Orange restaurant, which is our first BGR location in New Jersey,” said Rich Adams, President and Chief Operating Officer of American Burger Company, parent company of BGR.
