Teen Accused of Pepper Spray Incident After Fireworks
Girl allegedly pepper-sprayed another teen, police said.

A West Orange teen was arrested for allegedly pepper-spraying another teen at the Village Plaza on the Fourth of July, South Orange Police said.
The incident occurred at about 10:50 p.m. when a large crowd gathered near the South Orange train station following the fireworks in Maplewood, police said. Police arrested the girl after an officer allegedly saw her spray the teen with pepper spray, police said.Â
Police said the crowd had gathered in South Orange after the Maplewood fireworks ended at shortly after 10 p.m. (South Orange suspended its annual fireworks several years ago, citing budget concerns.)
Maplewood officers assisted South Orange officers in dispersing the large crowds that had gathered in downtown South Orange, police said.   Â
