Advice your mother gave you that you now know to be true? Honestly it's really more from my dad then my mom, I always remember him telling me about things he regretted doing as a kid that he looked back on and wished he had done and basically instilled with me the idea of not living with regrets and taking advantage of opportunities. I think as an adult I really tried to capture that mentality, especially when spending time with my children. If I have an opportunity to spend time with them and do something that's going to create a memory I make every attempt to do it. That's why am really big on experiences with them over materialistic things.
