Here's How Springfield Students Did On Standardized Tests

The test results are in for New Jersey students on what was once known as PARCC.

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — The results are in! Check to see how the Springfield Public School District did on the renamed versions of the controversial PARCC exam, the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments.

Here are the results for the Springfield Public School District, divided into test category, grade level, percentage of students meeting expectations, and their test scores:

Algebra I

State rank: 243rd, 45.4 percent of students meeting expectations, mean scale score: 745

Geometry

State rank: 169th, 51.6 percent of students meeting expectations, mean scale score: 750

3rd grade math

State rank: 133rd, 72.4 percent of students meeting expectations, mean scale score: 768

4th grade math

The New Jersey Student Learning Assessment uses the same computer-based platform used for PARCC and draws on the same bank of test questions. Indeed, the NJSLA results in English and math are comparable to the previous years' PARCC results.

However, the biggest difference between this assessment and PARCC is that it's now approximately 25 percent shorter and the number of questions has been reduced.
