Lunchtime Film Series at Springfield Public Library
"Best Picture Winners of Years Past" series continues on Tuesday, February 16th at 1:00 PM.

Robert Benton adapts Avery Corman's novel about divorce and changing gender roles. Manhattan housewife Joanna Kramer (Meryl Streep) walks out on her ad man husband Ted (Dustin Hoffman), leaving their young son Billy (Justin Henry). Through trial and error, Ted learns how to care for Billy, devoting more energy to his family than his work. Then Joanna returns with her own job, planning to take custody of their son. Addressing male self-actualization, Kramer focuses on Ted's evolution from absent parent to ideal father. 105 minutes. Unrated.
