Lunchtime Film Series at Springfield Public Library

"Masters of Film: Wes Anderson" series begins on Monday, March 14th at 1:00 PM.

After his debut Bottle Rocket (1996), Anderson made this quirky follow-up. It tells the story of Max Fischer, an eccentric 15-year-old who attends high school at Rushmore Academy. Max (Jason Schwartzman) is a poor student with a love of extracurricular activities. He suddenly falls for Miss Cross (Olivia Williams), a first-grade teacher. However, eccentric millionaire Mr. Blume (Bill Murray) also loves Miss Cross. Various hijinks ensue, forming the backbone of this screwball comedy. 93 minutes. Rated R.
Stop by or call us at (973) 376-4930 for more information. Admission is free. Cookies and juice will be served at 12:30 pm.
