Memorial Day 2016: Springfield Parade

Springfield, NJ -- Considering going away for Memorial Day weekend? Wait until you hear what the Springfield has planned to celebrate the lives and memories of the United States' fallen soldiers.

On Monday May 30 Springfield Township will host its annual Memorial Day Parade.

Ceremony starts at 10 a.m. sharp at Veteran Memorial Park and a token of appreciation will be given to all veterans at the end of the ceremony.

Marching down Mountain Ave. to the Jonathon Dayton High School where the Springfield-Hillside Elks will host a picnic for all attendees.

Get a free hot dog and drink and watch a Springfield Jr. Baseball Exhibition Game on the Turf Field Storm vs. Bats.

There will also be a Sing a long with patriotic songs.

Locals are also encouraged to decorate your bicycle with a patriotic theme and ride it in the parade with a helmet.
