'Mostly Motown' Returns to Springfield Library Sunday

Rhonda Denet and the Silver Fox Trio bring the classic rhythm and blues and soul of the 1960s and 1970s to town.

Warm up this weekend with some classic rhythm and blues as 'Mostly Motown,' featuring the smooth sounds of Rhonda Denet and the Silver Fox Trio, returns to the Springfield Public Library.

'Mostly Motown,' a review of the classic songs made famous by artists like Aretha Franklin, Martha and the Vandellas, Diana Ross and the Supremes and Smoky Robinson as well as others, begins at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Denet, a New York City-based jazz/soul vocalist, earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from New York University and a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Florida State University. Her professional career has taken her across the country, making appearances at concert halls, theaters, clubs, resorts, museums and premier wedding venues such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center Theater, New York Friar's Club,  Waldorf Astoria, B. B. Kings Bar & Grill, and Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar.
