Dorothy Wentz, Retired Lord & Taylor Employee, Dies at 87

Dorothy Wentz, 87, of Springfield, passed away on May 22 at her home.

Born in Parkstone, Poole, England, Dorothy - known as 'Dot' to friends and family - came to the United States in 1947, before settling in Springfield. Dot retired from Lord & Taylor in Livingston, NJ after many years in retail. She had a love of life, people, animals, gardening and nature.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband John E. Wentz, Jr., and son John E. Wentz III . She is survived by her daughter Karen Wentz; daughter-in-law Jean Wentz; grandchildren John William, David Matthew, Sarah Jean, Steven Daniel, and Amanda Mae; sister Kathleen Jess Barrow, and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and their families.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 1 at 10 am at the Bradley Smith & Smith Funeral Home at 415 Morris Avenue in Springfield. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. There will be a visitation on Friday from 4:30pm to 8:30pm at the funeral home.
