Relax, Unwind And Get Centered At AMP Yoga Studio In Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Cranford Yoga Instructor Ginny Colarusso has opened her very first studio in Springfield which offers everything you need to unwind.

Colarusso has been practicing yoga for 15 years and certified to teach for nine years. She has taught in a hot yoga studio in Garwood and then a gym in Cranford.

“The timing was just right and I had the urge to be trained to teach,” Colarusso said. “It was never my intention to open a studio when I first started teaching. But then my intention changed about three or four years ago. I wanted to branch out and offer other healing modalities.”

Colarusso held a soft opening for AMP Yoga Studio at 223 Mountain Avenue in Springfield on Feb. 11 and then had her grand opening on March 4.

At her studio, Colarusso offers a variety of classes for all ages and levels.

She offers prenatal yoga, yoga for infertility, and a yoga for golfers workshop is coming soon. Colarusso is certified for Reiki and kids yoga so she incorporates those styles as well.

Kids classes are on Tuesdays, preteen to teen classes are on Thursdays, there are also special classes for those with mobility issues, such as with knees replacement or the older population.

Colarusso will begin offering massages on Friday by Susan Miller from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Miller is a local Springfield resident, a yoga instructor, Reiki trained, and certified in many styles of massage therapy including prenatal.

Next Colarusso is looking to offer acupuncture as well.

“I wanted to offer different healing modalities other than yoga such as pilates, acupuncture, massage and anything in holistic healing,” Colarusso said.

As part of her grand opening, Colarusso is offering one month unlimited for $45. Teachers, active military, veterans, fire, police, EMT, students and seniors, and yoga professional teachers also get 10 percent off the package.
