School of Rock Clark, an after school performance-based music education program that will be opening at 1173 Raritan Road in September, will make a wide array of top musical instruments and performance gear available to its seven to 17 year old students, as well as freshly built rehearsal rooms, lesson rooms, and lounges.
“To ensure that our students get a comprehensive music education experience, we’re stocking our facility with the same instruments and equipment that the pros use,” says Art Lima, Director of Operations for School of Rock Clark. “By getting them used to and comfortable with professional gear, they’ll be confident and stage-ready for the shows that they’ll be performing at real rock venues in and around the Clark area.”

School of Rock Clark will feature the following equipment at their facility:

The School’s interior layout, which is currently under construction, will include free Wi-fi, six lesson rooms, a large rehearsal room/stage, a student lounge, and a dedicated room for innovative pre-school music classes called “Little Wing”.

To staff the School, Lima is currently interviewing working musicians who live in the Clark area and have professional recording, touring, and teaching experience.
“Along with their weekly 45-minute private lessons with our faculty, students at School of Rock Clark will also be placed on supervised ‘teams’ that will rehearse each week to perform major concert events featuring the hits of the greatest artists of popular music,” says Lima. “The first concert that we’ll present will be ‘The Wall’ by Pink Floyd, in which our students will play every song from the band’s seminal 1979 double album. ‘The Wall’ encompasses a wide range of styles and genres, and is the perfect show to begin our young musicians’ School of Rock experience”.
School of Rock Clark will be open to the public for tours beginning August 1, and will officially be open for business in September. The School’s business hours will be Monday through Thursday from 2pm to 9pm and on Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
