Springfield Actors Appearing In 'Cats' Musical

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — More than a dozen performers from Springfield will appear in a production of "Cats" soon.

The musical is a production of Front & Center for Performing Arts. The performers from Springfield are: Isabella Acquisto, Eryka Batayola, Caycie Clarke, Sylvie Fishman, Ariana Flores, Isabella Florio, Abigail Munshine, Nathalie Neuhaus, Celeste Palermo, Thomas Palermo, Sofia Solish, and Avi Zylbershlag.

The musical 'Cats' is based on "Old Possums Book of Practical Cats" by T.S. Eliot. Andrew Lloyd Weber wrote the music for the long-running Broadway show.

"I am so thrilled to bring this history-making musical to the stage against. I've had a long history with this show, seeing it on Broadway as a kid, dancing in it as a young performer, and now setting it with my own children as a parent," said Renee Celeste, the production's art director. "'Cats' really is now and forever. I hope you will bring your own children to share in this theatrical classic."

Shows will be at The College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown in the Dolan Performance Hall. Shows will be Jan. 31 at 7 p.m., Feb. 1 at 1 and 7 p.m., and Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.
