Springfield Menorah Lighting Celebration Huge Hit

SPRINGFIELD, NJ -- Not even the small bits of rain stopped residents from celebrating the first night of Hanukkah. According to TAPinto.net the Chabad Jewish Center's Rabbi Mendy Blesofsky presided over the ceremony and lit the menorah on Monday Dec. 12. It did required some help from the bucket truck and borrowing a can of sterno after Rabbi Mendy's lighter would not work. Latkas, hot chocolate and gelt were served to keep the residents warm.
