Union County's Salute To Veterans 5K And Fun Run This Sunday
The 5K and 1 mile family fun run will be held on Sunday in Springfield and proceeds will support the New Jersey Veterans Network.

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Union County's First Salute to Veterans 5K & Fun Run through Springfield to support the New Jersey Veterans Network will be held this Sunday.
The race starts at Jonathan Dayton High School and ends at Springfield Town Hall and will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
The New Jersey Veterans Network is comprised of members from the New Jersey State Policemen's Benevolent Association (NJPBSA), the New Jersey State Fraternal Order of Police (NJSFOP), the New Jersey State Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association (NJFMBA), the New Jersey American Legion, the New Jersey Veterans of Foreign Wars (NJVFW), and various other military and first responder organizations.

The NJVN is dedicated to helping veterans and their families live a better life, and creating a system of Community Veteran Liaisons (CVL) whose role is to identify veterans and connect them with resources and programs designed to meet their unique set of needs.
The cost is $30 for the 5K and $20 for the fun run through race day. Cost includes a dri-fit T-shirt guaranteed for each registered entrant, but quantities by sizes may be limited.

Post Race activities and events will take place at Roessner Field.
