Go to an outdoor concert in Westfield

The first night of the 24th Annual Sweet Sounds Downtown Music Festival, sponsored by Downtown Westfield Corporation, is this Tuesday. The direct link to the summer lineup and map of performers is here.

Celebrate the Fourth Of July

Check here a list of Union County towns with fireworks shows and other festivities for the Fourth of July. Summit, for example, will have rides, amusements, a food truck festival and fireworks.

Play board games

The Springfield Free Public Library is hosting mahjongg, canasta, scrabble and chess games for the months of July and August. Game nightswill be from 6:00 to 7:30 PM on Thursdays. . If there is a large enough response, a second session for games may be scheduled during afternoon hours.

Go to the 2021 Summer Concert Series in Union

The lineup of concerts will start on July 4 with The Fabulous Grease Band at Biertuempfel Park. The shows are open to the public and free of charge. Every Thursday there will be a new act, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Blankets and chairs are recommended. More information is available here.
