160 Union County Residents Still In Dark Following Storm

The number of Union County residents without power has dropped since Wednesday morning.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — The number of Union County residents without power has dropped since Wednesday morning.

The number dropped from 430 residents without power as of 9 a.m. to roughly 161 as of 3:30 p.m. after a severe thunderstorm ripped through the area on Tuesday night.

In Union County, PSE&G is reporting 161 customers are without power and JCP&L is reporting fewer than five customers are without power as of 3:30 p.m.

In New Jersey, JCP&L is reporting 35,906 without power and 652 PSE&G customers state-wide.

Plainfield reports the largest amount without power in Union County with 81 followed by Hillside with 30.

  • Elizabeth - Fewer than 5
  • Fanwood - 9
  • Hillside - 30
  • Kenilworth - 44
  • Linden - Fewer than 5

  • Rahway - 13
  • Roselle - Fewer than 5
  • Union - Fewer than 5
  • Westfield - 7

Here is a breakdown of JCP&L customers without power:

  • New Providence - Fewer than 5
