Actor And Union County Native Andrew McCarthy To Discuss Memoir

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Actor and Westfield native Andrew McCarthy is touring the country — virtually — to promote his recently released memoir, Brat.

The actor gained fame starting in the 1980s by appearing in various coming-of-age sagas including "Pretty in Pink," "St. Elmo's Fire," and "Class."

Among various appearances, McCarthy will appear at a May 24 virtual event via a Jewish Community Center in Essex County as part of their "Jewish Authors & Ideas Virtual Series." He also will make appearances in June.
