Holiday Open House at City Hall, Fire Equipment on Council Agenda This Week

The Summit Common Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. Agenda items including awarding of a bid for the Salt Brook Stabilization Project in the amount of $288,720 and the authorization of the purchase of equipment for the fire department. Summit Mayor Ellen Dickson will host a Holiday Open House at City Hall from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Women's Networking Group Offers Insight Into Book Publishing Process: The meeting will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Twin Maples, 214 Springfield Avenue in Summit.

The Summit Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School. Check back with Patch later in the week for the meeting's agenda. 

The Hickory Tree Chorus will entertain downtown Summit with favorite holiday tunes from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
