Downed Trees Causes Outages, Train Delays In Summit
Breaking: Gladstone Line service remains suspended between Summit and Murray in both directions due to a downed tree in the overhead wires.

SUMMIT, NJ — The severe passing thunderstorm took out several trees in Summit causing power outages and train delays on Friday evening.
One big tree was reported down on New England Avenue.
JCP&L are reporting 37 Summit residents without power and fewer than five in New Providence and Springfield, as of 5:25 p.m.

Additionally, Gladstone Line service remains suspended between Summit and Murray in both directions due to a downed tree in the overhead wires near Summit. NJ Transit substitute bus service is being provided between Summit and Murray Hill, NJ Transit reported.
