Florida Man Charged In Sending Explicit Materials To Summit Girl
Summit police said that the Florida man was charged with a felony after he shared explicit messages with the 12-year-old NJ girl.
SUMMIT, NJ — A 24-year-old Florida man has been charged with a third-degree felony after sending "explicit" materials to a 12-year-old Summit girl, Summit police said Thursday.
The city of Summit said that a yearlong police investigation determined that Bradley Fisher, 24, of Hudson, Fla. communicated with the 12-year-old Summit girl via the Discord social media app.
After receiving evidence from Summit police, the Pasco County, Fla., Sherriff's Department continued the investigation and arrested Fisher, according to the release.

Florida was charged with transmission of material harmful to minors, a third-degree felony in the state of Florida, the city said.
In a press release, the city explained, "Summit police detectives delivered crucial evidentiary material to allow the Pasco County Sherriff’s Department [to] arrest Fisher for the exchange of explicit sexual messages with a juvenile female, age 12, from Summit, NJ ... The suspect allegedly solicited pornographic images from the victim and shared sexually-explicit photos of his person on the Discord social media app."

“A thorough investigation by police detectives ensured the apprehension of the suspect,” Summit Chief Andrew Bartolotti said. “Communication is essential in protecting young people from online exploitation and the immediate contacting of police by the victim and her family led to a successful outcome. Online predators pose a security risk for children and teens, and it is extremely important for parents to speak openly with their children about online activity.”
