SUMMIT, NJ — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission of a local doctor came separately from two people: Alicia Estrada and Tracey L. They nominated Dr. Hermant Kairam. Their comments are below.

Relationship to nominee: He is the pediatrician for my children (Alicia)
Reason for recognition: Alicia Estrada wrote, "Dr. Kairam is a great doctor. He always goes above and beyond to take of our children. He is very kind and knowledgeable. He made a home visit this year to assure my children remained up to date on well care with vaccines during the pandemic."
One thing to know: "Dr. Kairam is great doctor. He is friendly and intelligent. I trust him with any issues my children may have. He treats his patients and their families with respect and knows them all on a personal level."

Reason for recognition: Tracey wrote: "His tireless care and concern for children and their families thru Covid Pandemic."
