Heat Advisory In Effect For Union County Through Wednesday
An air quality alert has also been issued and means levels would reach unhealthy standards for sensitive groups such as kids and elderly.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Union County. It will remain in effect from noon Tuesday through 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Maximum heat index values will range from 95 to 104 degrees in the afternoon with temperatures in the middle 90s Tuesday and Wednesday.
An air quality alert has also been issued in Union County for Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. This means that ground level ozone within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.

Ozone levels are forecast to reach the unhealthy for sensitive groups category in New Jersey along the I-95 corridor with sunny skies, southwest winds, and hot temperatures. Sensitive individuals including the very young, the elderly, and persons with respiratory diseases such as asthma, should avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the afternoon and early evening hours, the NWS reported.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 76. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 101. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 76. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph.
Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 10 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 87. Light west wind becoming northwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75.
Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66.
