SUMMIT, NJ — This week, North Jersey finds itself in a similar position to eight years ago, with a storm coming, an important election on the way, and altered Halloween plans, although not for the same reasons. But on this Thursday and Friday, forecasters predict a very rainy pair of days.

Hurricane Zeta is expected to reach the area Thursday — the eight-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy — bringing two days of rain, but likely as a tropical storm (according to the current prediction) or tropical depression.

Will it be a dud, or cause power outages in Summit as Tropical Storm Isaias did this past summer?
