Junior League of Summit's Trivia Virtual Edition a Success
Virtual Holiday Edition of Trivia Brings New Champions and Plenty of Bragging Rights!
The Junior League of Summit hosted a special Virtual Holiday Edition of Trivia Night on Sunday, December 13th. The family-friendly event raised more than $2500, which will benefit the JLS's Annual Fund, supporting its community grants, scholarships and projects.
This game, held over Zoom, consisted of six rounds and a Kids' Challenge. Including kids was new this year, but otherwise the event followed a similar format to previous years. There was still even a costume contest with a live showcase of teams over Zoom. As in previous years, the competition featured Adam Zucker, host of CBS Sports' College Football Today, as the competition emcee.
"Transforming our usual in-person trivia night into an online event over Zoom was a daunting task. We had never done anything like this! But on game day, it all came together, and we could see the same smiles that we usually see and hear the same laughs. Being able to bring cheer to our players of all ages made it so special! Plus, we brought in some much-needed donations to the Junior League." commented Trivia Night Chair Rachel Zucker.
Many thanks to Summit-based candy shoppe, Sweet Nothings, for donating the prize for the Kids' Challenge winner. In addition, the Jewish Community Center of Summit was indispensable, lending tech support and equipment to keep the event moving smoothly.
