Make a Senior Smile

Local student-run community service project now collecting items to deliver to Summit seniors.

Last year, SAGE Eldercare's Meals on Wheels program provided vital support to Summit seniors by delivering a record-breaking 50,000 meals during the pandemic. Now MAKE A SENIOR SMILE, a local student-run community service project, is offering more ways to help by accepting donations of items to be delivered with Meals on Wheels to seniors in Summit. Suggested items include: socks, blankets, soaps, lotions, napkins, mugs, candy, and homemade cards. All items must be new and do not have to be Valentine's Day themed. To donate, please drop off items by Feb. 10th at 160 Oak Ridge Avenue in Summit in the container by the front door. All Items will be wrapped and delivered to SAGE Eldercare for the Meals on Wheels program. For more information please visit MAKE A SENIOR SMILE on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MakeaSeniorSmileSummitNJ) or email them at makeaseniorsmile@gmail.com.
