New Gourmet Burger Joint Opening In Union County

UNION, NJ — A new burger joint is moving into the new shopping strip Greenleaf at Union off Route 22, according to the company's website. BurgerIM is opening a Union location 1235 W. Chestnut St., in the same complex as LA Fitness and Bob's Discount Furniture.

BurgerIM offers gourmet burgers with a variety of different toppings (think along the lines of Smashburger). What makes them different is the nine types of patties they offer: beef, dry aged beef, wagyu beef, merguez (spicy beef), turkey, lamb, chicken, salmon, veggie, and chorizo.

They also serve chicken wings, salads, fries, onion rings, and desserts, and have gluten free options.

It's not clear when the new location will open; currently, their only New Jersey store is located in New Brunswick. They're also opening stores in Englewood, Newark, Piscataway, and Metuchen.
