NJ ELEC Announces Two Gubernatorial Debates
The debates will be held at Montclair University and William Patterson University.

Gov. Chris Christie and Democratic hopeful Sen. Barbara Buono, D-18, will face off in two upcoming gubernatorial general election debates this fall, the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission announced recently.
The commission selected William Paterson University in Passaic County, and Essex County's Montclair State University to host the two debates, though it has yet to reveal respective dates and times for the two debates.
Candidates who receive public matching funds must participate in the debates, though those who do not raise enough money may still participate by filing with the commission by Sept. 3. It's unclear if any other gubernatorial hopefuls will join Christie and Buono on stage.
Union County's Kean University will sponsor the lieutenant gubernatorial debate between Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno and Buono's as of yet unnamed running mate, the commission said.
