SUMMIT, NJ — Meet Jodi! She has been chosen as Patch's Pet Of The Week. Nominate your pet for Summit's Pet of the Week!

"Adopted Jodi after seeing her on a Channel 2 News' pet adoption segment about six years ago. She was adopted out of the Humane Society Of New York. She is a wonderful family pet who loves the wooded areas near our home on the south side of Cranford.

She’s no match for the squirrels or chipmunks, but she tries her best to make a snack out of them. Shes great because she is equally content at home being a couch potato or out and about in the neighborhood, she’s a very easy dog to care for."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "Summit Pet Of The Week". Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
