Political Signs Stolen In Summit: Police

Residents on Plymouth Road, Tulip Street and Whittredge Road had signage stolen.

SUMMIT, NJ - Residents on Plymouth Road, Tulip Street and Whittredge Road had signage stolen in the run up to the general election, Summit Police said.

According to officials, Oct. 20 was the day that signs went missing from a Plymouth Road home. There was no value estimated for those signs, police said.

Oct. 23 saw a sign taken from a Tulip Street residence, police said. The victim reported that silver colored, 4-door vehicle pulled up to the home where a male in a gray, hooded sweatshirt exited the vehicle, removed the sign from the front yard, placed into the car and then drove off, police said. Total value of the sign at the time of the report was not known.

Finally, on Nov. 4 a report was taken for a theft of political lawn signs from a Whittredge Road residence, police said. The victim reported taken from the front yard of the residence were 10 signs valued at approximately $50.
