Road Work On Kent Place Will Continue Into The Weekend
The paving part of the project will begin Saturday. Parts of the road may close.

SUMMIT, NJ — Road work on Kent Place Boulevard that already began on Tuesday will run through this Saturday, weather permitting, and may continue into Monday.
The project to mill and pave the road follows several months of work by PSE&G and New Jersey American Water to make gas and water line improvements to residential properties on Kent Place Boulevard.
The project will include the milling and paving of Kent Place Boulevard from Passaic Avenue to High Street, and portions of Colonial Road and Madison Avenue near Kent Place Boulevard.

The paving part of the operations will start Saturday and continue Monday if necessary.
Street closures will be in effect during milling and paving operations. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times, and Summit Police officers will be onsite to direct traffic and assist with local access on affected streets.

Written notifications will be delivered by the paying contactor to all affected property owners. During project work, residents should park on neighboring side streets before 7 a.m. If it is necessary to leave cars on the street overnight, please contact the Summit Police Department at 908-273-0051 to avoid being ticketed.
