Food Trucks To Be Added To Annual July 4 Celebration In Summit
Summit will have rides and food trucks in addition to its usual kids' activities and fireworks for July 4.

SUMMIT, NJ — Rides, amusements, and a food truck festival are some of the additions to Summit’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration to be held this year.
The activities will take place will take place July 4 (a Sunday) at Soldiers Memorial Field, at 5 Myrtle Ave. in Summit.
The day will begin with a flag raising ceremony at noon, followed by a decorated bicycle parade for children at 12:15 p.m.

Entertainment includes rock music concerts with Crisis at 1:30 p.m. and the Cameos at 4:30 p.m., and an all ages hot dog eating contest at 4 p.m.
The walking track, playground, tennis courts, and lower fields at Memorial Field will close at 12 p.m. to prepare for the fireworks display. Roads adjacent to the field will close to vehicle traffic at 6 p.m.

Evening festivities begin at 6 p.m. and include rides, entertainment, and a food truck festival. There will be a bubble show for children at 6:15 p.m., followed by Daddy Pop in concert at 7:30 p.m.
The night will close with a grand fireworks display, beginning at 9:15 p.m.
