SUMMIT, NJ - Gordon Alexander Spielberg, 58, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019.
A dedicated educator, he worked in the LA Unified school system for 18 years. His passions included environmental causes, the Mayan culture, crossword puzzles, reading, and he was
an enthusiastic sports fan and an Eagle Scout.
Born in Los Angeles, Calif., he also lived in Summit, Mexico, Holland, Kansas, and Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Communications and Spanish degree from University of the Pacific and a Masters in Spanish from Rice University. He leaves behind wife Georgina, daughter Katie, mother Gilda, sister and brother-in-law Genevieve and Armin (Frey), and nephews Spencer, Justin and Carter.

A celebration of his life will be held in Los Angeles in July. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the World Wildlife Fund.
