Summit Police Warn Residents of Bear

"Bring pets inside. Do not approach the bear," Summit Police warn.

Summit, NJ -- Police are warning residents of a roaming bear in Summit around 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

Multiple calls about the bear has been reported in the area of Beekman Road, Summit Police announced.

The bear was last seen crossing Division Avenue by Clearwater Swim Club as of 9:33 a.m.

"Bring pets inside," police stated in a Nixle alert. "Do not approach the bear."
