Summit Resident Crowned Miss T.E.E.N. New Jersey

Abby DePhillips will go on to compete in the Miss T.E.E.N. United States pageant.

Summit High School junior Abby DePhillips was recently crowned Miss T.E.E.N. New Jersey, earning the opportunity to compete for a national title at the upcoming Miss T.E.E.N. United States in Houston, Texas.

The 17-year-old Summit junior will be participating in Monday's Summit Memorial Day celebration and parade. DePhillips hopes to help young children and serve as a role model, honoring the T.E.E.N - Teens Exemplifying Excellence Nationally - message of being articulate, intelligent, beautiful, and fun loving.

DePhillips will participate in the national pageant from June 24-29 where she'll have the chance to win a $40,000 scholarship to Barclay College, a competition evening gown, clothing and accessories, and of course a a sash and crown, among other prizes.
