Summit Sidewalk Replacement Underway

The project is expected to end around May 9.

SUMMIT, NJ - Sidewalk replacement began in the central retail business district in Summit Thursday as part of the Downtown Roads and Beautification Project.

According to officials, work will be done during the hours of 2 a.m. and 10 a.m., with sidewalk removal taking place between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. and the pouring of new sidewalk from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The work should be completed in about a week's time weather permitting, officials said. Affected local businesses are being advised directly by the City of Summit Department of Community Services.
