SUMMIT, NJ - Junior Sarah Maldonado was chosen by girls volleyball coach Antonio Martins as a Summit sports spotlight athlete..

"Sarah was the leading offensive player for the team this past week, as she has been all season. She was instrumental in pushing New Providence and Union to three sets and was unstoppable against Dayton and Roselle Catholic. This first year of varsity player is on pace to hit four more kills than any other player since 2011. Her improvement this season and throughout the season and has been outstanding, a true reflection of her work ethic and desire to improve," Martins said.
