Summit Is Thinking Spring With Upcoming Events

The City of Summit is announcing the dates for three annual spring events: the Summit Free Market, Earth Day Clean-Up, and Arbor Day.

SUMMIT, NJ — It may be a bit nippy out but it's time to think spring! The City of Summit is announcing the dates for three annual spring events: the Summit Free Market, Earth Day Clean-Up, and Arbor Day.

The Summit Free Market will be held on Saturdays, April 29 and May 6 at the City of Summit Transfer Station, 40 New Providence Avenue. Residents can bring yard sale-quality items to share with others, and take whatever they want for free. For more information on the Summit Free Market visit cityofsummit.org.

The City of Summit’s 11th annual Earth Day Clean-Up will be held on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23. Members of the community, individuals and groups, are encouraged to participate and help improve Summit’s parks and open spaces. An Arbor Day celebration is planned for Friday, April 28 at Brayton Elementary School. More information on the event will be posted to cityofsummit.org once it becomes available.
