Summit's Curbside Leaf Collection Will Run Through Dec. 1

Bagged leaves will be picked up on regularly scheduled garbage days. Leaves must be placed in biodegradable brown bags and placed at curb.

SUMMIT, NJ — The City of Summit Department of Community Services is offering curbside leaf collection now through Dec. 1 or the first major snowstorm.

The Division of Public Works will collect bagged leaves on regularly scheduled garbage pickup days. Leaves must be placed in biodegradable brown bags and placed at the curb.

Residents may also bring leaves to the Summit Transfer Station at 40 New Providence Ave. Leaves collected in the spring and fall are composted and are made available to the public in the spring for use on lawns and in gardens.
