Thousands Without Power In Downtown Summit

SUMMIT, NJ - A power outage has robbed the business district and the surrounding area of power according to the Summit Police Department. Officials said there is no time frame for the restoration and the power loss has rendered the traffic signals inoperative.

Police advise motorists and pedestrians to proceed with caution.

According to the JCP&L outage map there are seven separate outages in the area and crews are being dispatched to investigate.
