Council establishes Voluntary Registry for Landscaping Businesses operating in Summit.

SUMMIT, NJ, April 30, 2021 – The City of Summit Common Council has established a new, voluntary registry for licensed landscaping companies operating in Summit. The purpose of the registry is to create a way for the city to communicate with landscapers on business licensing requirements, regulatory updates and amendments to ordinances such as the recently passed pilot program banning gas powered blowers.

“It is a goal for Common Council to increase the ability of the city to communicate with local businesses on matters that will affect them,” explains Council President Marjorie Fox. “The registration process is simple and requires only basic contact information. I encourage landscaping companies to register to receive updates on important changes and requirements.”

An application form is available online from the Office of the City Clerk or by calling 908-273-6400.
