Washington School Hosts Garden Celebration
Washington School held its Garden Celebration and Art in Bloom event.
Washington Elementary School recently held a Garden Celebration and Art in Bloom event outside on school grounds. Each grade gave a short presentation in the Readers' Theater for parents, staff and community members.
The students then guided tours of the gardens and art displays. Each class had garden ambassadors who could explain what fruits, vegetables and flowers were being grown and also share their experiences from the process.
Principal Lauren Banker kicked off the presentations, praising the students for their hard work and also thanking Ms. Cassidy, who will retire at the end of the year, for overseeing this project.Â
