2 Killed In Teaneck House Fire, Under Investigation

The Bergen County Prosecutor confirmed that two people died in a house fire on Arlington Avenue in Teaneck early Thursday morning.

TEANECK, NJ — Two people died in an overnight house fire on Arlington Avenue in Teaneck, the Bergen County Prosecutor confirmed.

The fire was reported to Teaneck police around 3:20 a.m. on Thursday. Members of the Teaneck Fire Department arrived to the 1161 Arlington Ave. home shortly after, and located a fire on the second floor.

While trying to suppress the fire, members of the department located two unresponsive people on the third floor of the house. Both people, who haven't been identified, died from their injuries.

An investigation is underway, led by the prosecutor's office, the Bergen County Sheriff's Office and Teaneck police.
