Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JHON A. CABRERA (DOB:11/11/1992; single; unemployed former massage therapist) of 32-38 Robert Street, Apt. 1, Paterson, New Jersey on a charge of Sexual Assault. The arrest was a result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Emerson Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Mazzeo.

On Thursday, April 22, 2021, it was revealed that JHON A. CABRERA engaged in sexual misconduct with a female client while he was massaging her at a spa in Hackensack, New Jersey. The client reported the conduct to the Hackensack Police Department who initiated an investigation and charged CABRERA with Criminal Sexual Contact. After being notified of the arrest, Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office detectives learned that CABRERA was also accused of sexual assault in 2016 while he was employed as a masseur at a spa in Emerson, New Jersey. An investigation revealed that CABRERA engaged in sexually penetrating a client without the consent of the client during a massage. Upon further review of the initial allegation and after a subsequent investigation, CABRERA was charged in relation to the 2016 incident.

On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, JHON A. CABRERA was arrested and charged with one count of Sexual Assault in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(1), a 2nd degree crime, and was transported to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would like to thank the Hackensack Police Department and the Emerson Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
