HACKENSACK, N.J. September 24, 2020 – The Current on River, Hackensack, New Jersey’s highlyanticipated six-story luxury living building, has officially opened its doors.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by New Jersey-based real estate developer Hekemian& Co., Inc. marks the beginning of a new era for The City in Motion. Among those in attendance at 18 East Camden Street include Hackensack city managers and elected officials, including Hackensack Mayor John P. Labrosse, Jr., and representatives from the city’s Main Street Business Alliance, and Hackensack Chamber of Commerce.

No detail was left untouched in The Current on River, whose interior design was thoughtfully spearheaded by highly acclaimed firm Hartman Design Group. Residents and guests take note of the spectacular design the moment they step into the grand lobby. Common spaces are outfitted with details that pay homage to the city’s rich past, like exposed brick, and finished with modern furniture and lighting that call to Hackensack’s promising future.
