FDU Blown Out Of NCAA Tournament By Gonzaga

TEANECK, NJ — It was never close.
The Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights showed a lot of heart and played hard Thursday, but their Cinderella season came to an abrupt, but unsurprising end Thursday.
The Knights were blown out by the Gonzaga Bulldogs 87-49 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. It was 17-53 at halftime.

Just two Knights players, Mike Holloway and Elyjah Williams, scored in double figures. They each had 10 points. Five players for Gonzaga scored in double figures.
Fairleigh Dickinson was one of eight teams to play in the First Four games. The four winners each earned the 16-seed in their respective bracket region and the right to become maybe just the second team in the tournament's history to defeat a No. 1-seed.
