FDU Students Pitch In At Hackensack River Clean-Up

The River Edge Environmental Commission, in conjunction with the Hackensack Riverkeeper, co-sponsored a clean-up of the Hackensack River at Kenneth B. George Park Saturday.

Volunteers came out on a spectacular Saturday and worked on foot to clear trash and other debris from the banks of the river, as well as pulling trash out of the river from canoes.

Volunteers included Fairleigh Dickinson University students, the River Edge Fire Department and area residents.
