Holy Name Official Pens Book: 'In The Time Of COVID'
The book, written by Chief Medical Officer Adam Jarrett and co-author Paul Rosengren, is currently discounted for frontline workers.

TEANECK, NJ — Few people in the United States have had a closer look at the impact of the coronavirus than Holy Name Medical Center's Adam Jarrett.
Now, Jarrett, the Chief Medical Officer at the Teaneck hospital, along with co-author Paul Rosengren, have published a book titled "In the Time of COVID," which shares some of that information.
"The book gives a behind-the-scenes view of how Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, and its staff, responded during the first wave of the pandemic. It outlines how the hospital needed to be completely redesigned, new wings constructed and new innovative approaches taken," said Rosengren, in an email exchange with Patch.

Jarrett and Rosengren share information on vaccines, treatments and the parallels between treating COVID-19 and his time working on an AIDS ward in the 1980s.
Further, they highlight those who were on the hospital's frontlines daily.

"The book weaves medical information on the virus and its treatments, with stories of 'heroes without capes' at the hospital," said Rosengren.

Though the book focuses on what was learned during the first wave of the virus, it also offers some guidance on what hospitals, and the public at large, could implement as a second surge of cases hits the United States.
Through Sunday, Dec. 13, the book is discounted for Teaneck residents, libraries and frontline and hospital workers.
The e-book is $4.99 through Sunday, and a paperback copy is $11.99 until the end of the weekend.
