Jeremiah Ciancia, 100, World War II Veteran, Died Saturday
Ciancia was married to his wife for 71 years.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Jeremiah, 100, of Leonia, a World War II veteran, died Saturday.
He grew up in Cliffside Park and was a longtime Leonia resident.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a graduate of Columbia University. He was an active member of the family real estate business where he worked for more than 70 years. his obituary states.
He was a former trustee of a Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck and a longtime member of the hospital's Construction Committee.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and and weekly visits to his summer home in Blairstown. He also maintained a residence in Bermuda.
He was predeceased by his brother, Charles and sister, Irene.
Ciancia is survived by his wife of 71 years, Yolanda; children, Paul, and his partner Dennis Westervelt; Peter and wife Christine; and Christine Muir and husband Tom; grandchildren, Lauren Apgar and husband Greg and Thomas Daniel Muir; and great grandchild; sister, Evelyn Castellucci; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Monday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck. There will be a Catholic prayer service at 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jerry's name may be made to Holy Name Medical Center Foundation, 718 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, N.J. 07666. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105, or a charity of one's choice.
