Northeast Film Festival Begins Friday In Teaneck

The annual festival showcases top independent films from a variety of genres.

TEANECK, N.J. — The Northeast Film Fest is Sept. 9 through 11 at the Teaneck Cinemas.

The festival, now in its fourth year, showcases top independent short films and work from new talent. A committee selects the films, including documentaries, from a variety of genres. Jess Thoubboron's film "Strangers," will premiere Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. Thoubboron is a North Jersey native.

The festival begins Friday at 10 a.m. and runs through 4 p.m. Sunday. An awards gala will be Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets cost $12 for a two-hour viewing block. Day passes cost $50, while all-access passes, which are good all weekend, cost $100.
