Police: Suspicious Box Intentionally Left At Teaneck Congregation
Bomb squad, police K-9 called to Teaneck congregation Sunday

A suspicious box that prompted the bomb squad to respond to a Teaneck congregation was apparently left there as a hoax, authorities said Monday.
The Bergen County Police Department’s Bomb Squad was called after a custodian discovered the small box near the front entrance to Congregation Beth Shalom around 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Sgt. John LaDuca said.
“It was a small box wrapped in black duct tape and was intentionally placed there, most likely to create a scare,” according to LaDuca, the county police bomb squad commander.
